Helicopter crash kills 2 in northern Ont.

Two people were killed in a helicopter crash in northern Ontario, provincial police say.

The crash occurred around 2 p.m. ET on Friday between at Elk Lake and Gowganda, around 200 kilometres south of Timmins.

Members of the Ontario Provincial Police are at the scene of the crash.

Officials with the Transportation Safety Board of Canada are on their way to investigate.

The names of those killed are being withheld pending notification of next of kin.
