Auto's, stuck pedals and hydraulic failures.

That was on the list for today's flight.

Went pretty well I guess. Was back with my regular instructor and of course that made things easier for me.

Stuck pedals went well, much to my surprise..ha. But yeah. Said he could not have done it better. So that made me happy.

then some ground review for me. Turns out I also know stuff. Who knew.

Tomorrow is nav departure, confined area, forced approach, diversion, some instrument work and unusual attitudes. the latter is NOT my favourite thing to do. In fact, I despise them. I think because it's where I'm not in control. I hate that. Anyway, not looking forward to it, but told J how much I dislike them and he said not to worry, he doesn't go all crazy or anything. Which is good.

I have heard the words 'recover' in fixed wing training and found myself in various flight attitudes. Full spin. Inverted. Anyway, that might explain why I'm a bit jumpy about them. Plus the whole partial panel thing. And the foggles. yay.

So probably recommend ride Friday or Monday? I think the wx is supposed to be not great Monday, so Friday might be better. Guess it depends on how tomorrow goes.

What unusual attitudes do they give you in a helicopter, and what are the recovery steps, anyway>

Don't stop posting such themes. I like to read blogs like that. Just add some pics :)

Aviatrix, I was asking him, and he said it was usually just a nose up or nose down attitude. Airspeed not as big a factor..I guess. haha.

Recovery is to always load the rotor before you do anything, then you can check roll or things like that. And no pushovers unless you want to chop off the tail.
