Hi, I'm Dagny, and have been working as a medevac pilot since early 2001. I enjoy my job immensely some days, not so much other days. Probably the same as most people and their jobs I suppose.
And you are probably wondering, Dagny, if you have been flying for so long, why aren't you a REAL pilot yet. And to that I will say, 1) if you are asking me that question, you don't know what a real pilot IS, and 2) I find boredom boring. :)
Medevacs are NEVER boring.
The stories in this blog are just ones from my travels over the years. I am not trying to single any one person or pilots out. I will not say where I work. I will not say what kind of plane I fly. If you have me figured out, I'd rather you either keep it to yourself, or contact me directly first, before making any deal out of it. Not that I am worth making a deal over. I would just rather remain anonymous as possible. I know that complete anonymity is impossible, so I will just take a deep breath and begin.
There won't be stories everyday, my brain doesn't work that fast. But as they come up in my brain, I will try to get them here. So just don't forget about me if I don't post anything for a few days/weeks. If it's years, I'd probably give up on me. heh.
So thanks for coming by. I hope you can learn from my mistakes. And find joy in the little things that make my job worth while.
